A great adventure!

This swimming spot is truly amazing, and the brilliant part is the fun you’ll have getting there.

The kids will love scrambling over rocks, paddling through water and squeezing through the narrows of the Jurassic Park surroundings.

When you reach Handrail Pool, it is breathtaking! The refreshing waters against the towering bright red rock makes you feel like you’ve entered a different world.

Weano Gorge is perhaps the most accessible gorge in Karijini but also one of the most fun.

Karijini is full of beautiful walks and unique swimming spots. Some of the best stops when visiting with little ones are:

  • Fortescue Falls. It is a perfect spot for the kids, an easy 800m walk takes you to the falls and a safe swimming hole.
  • Joffre and Knox lookouts. Both lookouts are awesome, just a hop, skip and jump from the carpark these lookout platforms are well worth checking out.
  • Tom Price. It is the nearest ‘town’ to Karijini National Park, and it is great to explore the mining town. The kids will love seeing all the mining equipment!
