Elizabeth Quay

The Esplanade, Perth

See route

A pirate-ship playground with stunning river and city views.

The Elizabeth Quay Playground is located to the eastern side of the suspension bridge, on the island section of the Quay. It utilizes natural materials and is designed to encourage children to engage in creative play.

The central climbing structure is the star of the show here, with a thrilling climb up to the top tower. Brave climbers will be rewarded with excellent views!

In addition to the features above, the playground has a sandpit with balancing logs that will suit the littler ones.

The pipe-phone and spider-ring swing add to the entertainment factor!

There are multiple water play opportunities in the playground. There is a hand-generated water pump and sloping creekbed - great for splashy teamwork!

Elizabeth Quay is the terminus for the South Perth ferry service, with views to the southern part of the city. It’s common to see waterbirds, including herons drying their wings, around this area.

When you're finished at the playground, explore Elizabeth Quay. See the iconic "Spanda" sculpture.

Visit the giant bird sculpture "First Contact", by respected Noongar artist Laural Nannup, on the other side of the bridge.

The BHP Billiton Water Park, located diagonally oposite to the playground with Elizabeth Quay, offers some fantastic water play! Be sure to bring a change a clothes for your little one.
